Enchanted Mushroom: An Introduction to PanPastel
Maybe you have a few PanPastels sitting in a drawer and you are not sure what to do with them. Maybe you have tried the medium a little but you want real direction. Either way, this is a good place to start.
I spent eight years learning this medium mostly on my own, figuring out the hard way which papers work, which supplies actually matter, and how to put it all together. I built this lesson so you do not have to do that. The right materials combined with knowing how to use them makes all the difference in how this medium feels to work with.
You will paint a small whimsical mushroom scene using just five PanPastel colors. I will walk you through the supplies, the transfer, the color mixing, and the painting itself. A starter pack is included with your line art, supply list, and color guide. Everything you need is right here.
This medium is not fragile, it is not fussy, and it is not just for serious artists. It is flexible and forgiving. You can pick it up for five minutes or five hours and put it down without losing anything.
